Located at Aloha UMC, the Lord’s Cupboard is a joint mission outreach with Aloha that provides food assistance to families in need. The need is for food and monetary donations, and servant helpers.
The best way to get comfortable with serving is to come in on a Saturday and serve with one of the regulars, sign a confidentiality statement, and save a couple of hours mid-day or in the afternoon to help cover. There is some flexibility in the hours but most of the slots in the early morning from 8-10 are taken.
They need help with delivery of donations from Christ UMC to Aloha, pick-up of product at the Food Bank on Thursday, and at Safeway on Friday. This involves hefting some boxes around both at the Food Bank and within the Cupboard.
